Atzi's Flowers Bloom!

I have just finished illustrating my second book and am also the author, a first for me! Atzi’s Flowers was inspired by a Drawing a Day I did last year at this time, about the “Legend of the Poinsettia”. When looking into the origins, there was an aspect of an earlier version that piqued my curiosity. Why is the little girl noted as Aztec with a Spanish/Hebrew name? Looking for an answer lead to other questions. Voila, here are the discoveries. It includes an Illustration and Author’s Note of interesting tidbits that informed both the story and illustrations. There’s even a COLORING PAGE at the end of the book. Can’t get away from the teacher in me.
