About 

Carol Lynn Mitchell is a mixed media artist and designer who has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. She has also worked closely with arts organizations to develop arts integrated curriculum for primary and secondary schools. Creating whimsical, informative children’s stories and illustrations is a natural merging of the two.

Children's illustrated stories are a vital introduction to reading and literacy. They support curriculum based learning, pass on traditions and beliefs, are a source of social emotional learning and more. She explores the intersection between imagination, truth and reality in order to create illustrated stories with heart, that enhance literacy, SEL and learning.

When she isn't in the studio creating she can be found writing and reflecting on creativity and expression, developing collateral support materials for arts integrated curriculum and exploring other creative outlets.
